Ready for Second Floor

After some nice weather allowing for good outdoor work to get done, the first floor walls are now complete! We are now ready for the second floor joists and walls to be put in during the first week of January. (Habitat for Humanity is now on break for two weeks for Christmas and New Year's.)

On the agenda is to get appliances and windows ordered - with the building starting to take shape and a spring opening date in our sights, we’ve got to start thinking about furnishings now. How exciting! Appliance shortages are somewhat of a concern right now due to the pandemic, so hopefully we can have everything we need in time.

We hope to have the building closed in by the end of January with roof trusses due in the third week of January. Come by and see how we’re progressing!
