Volunteer Schedule for the Last 6 Weeks!

We are down to the last six weeks of construction, but there is still plenty of work to do! Here’s what we’ll be working on, below. Don’t forget to visit the Volunteer page to register online and let us know you’re coming!

Week of 6/28 - Flooring will be done by 7/1 (subbed out). Volunteers will be installing doors, trim, and cabinets. Final site grading will be complete ready for sidewalks and the parking lot.

Week of 7/5 - Volunteers will be needed for trim and cabinets.

Week of 7/12 - Volunteers will be needed for final trim and cabinets, appliance install and touch up painting of trim. We will also be starting light work of installing shelves, towel bars, etc.

Week of 7/19 - Volunteers will be needed for light work and final misc odds and ends.

Week of 7/26 - Volunteers will be needed for move in of appliances and possibly furniture.

Week of 8/2 - Volunteers will be needed for final cleaning, washing windows and stocking kitchens and living units with move in supplies.

We don't have fixed dates when sidewalks and the parking lot will go in but hopefully that will be sometime in the next 2-3 weeks. Once that is complete, we will be looking for volunteers to help with landscaping.

There are plenty of volunteer opportunities coming up for individuals with no construction expertise needed. There will be lots of heavier moving (appliances, furniture, cabinets etc).

In addition, we want to try to repaint the exterior of the church’s Annex (which has gotten a bit dusty and dirty from construction) and we have to completely clean out the Annex and transform it back from our construction offices into the Youth facility. So lots of lighter duty opportunities there as well along with chances for younger ones to participate.
